Some More Pointers

Choosing the right affiliate marketing program for you is one of the many keys to success. Affiliate marketing is not easy so choosing the right one will give you much better chances of success. Affiliate marketing is a great business to get into and if done right comes with a huge paycheck.

First see if they program will cost anything. There are so many affiliate programs out there for free that why would you want to pay for one. These types of programs are usually ones that never make money, never will make money, and they money that is made is the fee that you paid. Fee affiliate programs are set up just to take your money. There is no intention of you actually making a paycheck.

Find out when you get paid. There are a lot of different programs with different payment times. Some affiliates pay monthly, bi weekly, quarterly, etc. Choose one that you are comfortable with. Generally though most affiliates pay monthly.

Ask the affiliate what the amount is for each commission. For instances if they are selling a product for one hundred dollars and your commission is twenty percent your commission is twenty dollars. Also remember that most affiliate pay of a percentage commission system. This is to your benefit as if they are selling more than one item you will earn a commission on the total sale price. If for example the total sale price was five hundred dollars for a customer brought to them by you and your commission percentage was twenty percent. You commission would be one hundred dollars for one sale. You can probably see now why there is big money in affiliate marketing.

Check out the affiliates stats before signing up. A good thing to look at is the hits per sale ratio. This means how many people visit the site through a ad or link and how many of those people actually make a purchase.

Also make sure the affiliate has your stats and updates everyday available to you through a log in page. This should tell you how many people have visited the affiliate through you and how many sales you have made. It also should include the dollar amount you have made for the month, day, etc.

Ask if your affiliate issues a 1099 at the end of the year. Most do and remember that you need to pay taxes on the money earned through your affiliate.
