Recently I was re-reading the book The Success System That Never Fails, by W. Clement Stone. (In my opinion, it's even better than Hill's Think and Grow Rich)
On page 12 he talks about "inspirational dissatisfaction".
Stone talks about how successful people are always dissatisfied with their current situation.
This is what inspires them to move forward and achieve their goals.
Take my own life for example; I was motivated to be successful because I felt tired of being average. My whole life, everything I did was average.
I was a below average student, average at martial arts, an average athlete and even average while hanging out with my friends.
I was dissatisfied, so I took action.
Today, I am the center of influence among friends, but not then. I was sick and tired of being average. I wanted do be world-class, I wanted to be the expert, the master of something.
That WAS my inspiration.
My point is Stone is right. Inspirational dissatisfaction can be good and can cause you to move forward.
You have to get a little mad, a little fed up with your situation to take action to change your
life.
If you are feeling uncomfortable, you are moving in the right direction.
It's GOOD to feel uncomfortable.
If you get too satiated with your situation, you won't move and you won't achieve your best.
So if you are unsatisfied, ask yourself...

If for example the total sale price was five hundred dollars for a customer brought to them by you and your commission percentage was twenty percent. This information is aimed at people who are new to affiliate marketing. Most of these tips are widely known and i don't pretend to have the "Big Secret" to success. If there really is a big secret at all, it undoubtedly would have to be: "work hard." Hope that the information provided here helps you get rolling down the road to affiliate marketing success. Also hope it will save you a little time and money in the process. Some of the suggestions below are pretty obvious ones, but sometimes it's nice to have someone else tell you that the obvious answer is a good one. Choose a topic you know. The most common question asked by people new to affiliate marketing is "What should I start with?" I believe it is best to start with an area you know well. Doing this may not be the best converting, provide you with the highest commission, or even be the best managed program. If you try to build your first site from something in which you have no personal interest, the site soon becomes a painful and boring task. Data driven sites generally require access to data feeds and some knowledge of programming or access to software (or scripts) which can produce web pages from the data feeds.
Parasites and how they affect you. You will see a lot of sites that talk about "Parasites", "ParasiteWare" and "ScumWare." All of these are applications that can redirect, overwrite, or intercept your visitors (and therefore YOUR commission) and change your visitor into their visitor. The majority of these masquerade as shopping support software, file sharing applications, browser help objects (BHOs), and even hidden applications installed on a user's PC via drive-by installs or in bundled software packages. Building your first Site. It does help to know HTML and the ability to use graphics software. Knowledge of these areas gives you the ability to add small touches of class to your site. However don't be discouraged if you have no skills in these areas.
